Elizabeth Landry is a physician family advocate, Certified Life Coach for Physician Wives, EM wife of 20+ years, mother, and founder of The MedCommons, a digital magazine and online community serving physician spouses and partners as they navigate med school, residency, & beyond.

Most of her content is for the physician’s significant other, but she had posted recently about six traits doctors need to be a great spouse, so we decided to make an episode about that in addition to discussing the sacrifices that our significant others make. It turns out it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. There is some really insightful material for us.

She founded The MedCommons to address a significant gap in the area of support for physician families and developed this platform to connect med-spouses and partners with each other and resources to build a community of friendship, support, and understanding. Elizabeth partners with various individuals and organizations to drive forward the focus on the mental well-being of physicians and their families.
